OSCAR AWARDS PARTY (People's Chicken Deli $5)
Join us for a fun Oscar party on the evening of the annual Academy Awards in the Yonge-Eglinton area. There will be free prize draws throughout the evening, as well as a trivia contest and draws for most glamorous dressed and best dressed as a favourite movie character.
Our group has been invited to attend this event by MAD About Movies and More, Toronto's largest movie meetup group! Thumbs Up will have its own table where our members will be seated together. MAD is organizing the event.
THE PARTY: Watch the Oscars on the big screen while mingling with fellow members. You can order food and drinks from the menu. Members will be paired in twos for a trivia quiz.
There will be great prizes and free giveaways, including:

- party favors
- and more fun
DRESS CODE: There will be no dress code, but if you arrive looking glamorous, or dressed as a movie character, then you will be entered in a draw for a prize!

TIME: Oscar pre-show begins at 7 p.m. Meet Belinda at 6 p.m. to get good seats and to socialize.
WHERE: People's Chicken (formerly Chick N'Deli), 744 Mount Pleasant Road (1/2 block south of Eglinton Avenue East)
PRICE: $5 admission. Members pay for their own food and drinks from the menu.

MEETUP ARRANGEMENTS: Meet Belinda at 6 p.m. at People's Chicken. Ask for Belinda's Thumbs Up Theatre Toronto table. Belinda is very short and will be wearing a purple hat.

DIRECTIONS BY TTC: A short walk east on Eglinton to Mount Pleasant, then turn right or catch any #34 bus from Eglinton subway to Mount Pleasant. People’s Chicken is on the south side of Eglinton, on Mount Pleasant, just look for the giant chicken on the roof!
PARKING: You can park on the street or in the Green P parking garage, just south of People's Chicken, on the same side and in the same block.

RenanaThis party was fun as long as you came with a friend, otherwise I felt very lonely, because the people were not very friendly. Maybe the set up made it difficult for the people to talk to each other.
