This performance will feature a 25-minute pre-show talk by internationally acclaimed (Oscar-nominated) film director Atom Egoyan and CanStage artistic/general director Matthew Jocelyn.

Cruel and Tender is directed by film director Atom Egoyan. He collaborates for the first time onstage with his wife, celebrated actress Arsinée Khanjian, who stars in the play. ABOUT ATOM EGOYAN: Atom Egoyan is a critically acclaimed Armenian-Canadian film and stage director. Egoyan made his career breakthrough with Exotica (1994). His most critically acclaimed film is The Sweet Hereafter (1997), and his biggest commercial success is Chloe (2009). Egoyan has been nominated for two Academy Awards - The Sweet Hereafter for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.
